My name is John Benton,
I’m a fourth year computer science student at Penn State University. I like compilers and theoretical computer science, sometimes I get to work on projects that involve both. I also write firmware for Nittany Motorsports, Penn State’s Formula SAE team.
This blog is a collection of cool aspects of computer science that I don’t think get talked about enough. Hopefully you find some of them interesting.
If you see a mistake or have any other comments, feel free to leave a post on this blog’s discussions page.
Projects
I’ve also done some projects that I don’t feel like writing entire posts about, some of them are listed below.
- BF compiler written with the LLVM Ocaml Bindings
- Heir Compiler Contributions
- Nittany Motorsports
- Low Voltage BMS system using the STM32L432KC and a BQ76905 BMS chip.
- Hardware in the loop testing using a Raspberry Pi
